Are there age restrictions for any of the tours?
Any minor under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. All ages are welcome on guided hikes and other day activities, but due to the physical nature of the activity, we recommend a minimum age of 10 years old. We have specific camping and backpacking trips that are open to children and families.
Do I need any of my own gear?
We have rental gear available for camping trips. We do reccommend bringing a reusable water bottle for hikes.
Can I rent gear for my own personal camping trip?
Yes! Just send us an email and if we have camping gear available during your trip we will rent it out to you.
How fit do I have to be?
Different trips require different fitness levels. Our camping trips are open to all fitness levels. Our guided hikes are also at an easy pace and we try to accomodate most fitness levels, but you should be able to walk a few miles over uneven terrain. Our backpacking trips require a little more fitness, because they require hiking for a few miles over uneven terrain with a backpack. If you have a pre-existing health condition or disability, reach out to us, so we can decide how to best accomadate your needs. If you have questions about a specific trip or experience, please send us an email.

It does not matter how fast or slow you run. We will be cruising along at a leisurely pace and will stop frequently, We have a no drop policy, so no one gets left behind or left out.

Friendly and well-behaved dogs are welcome on trips as long as the area we are visiting allows dogs. Some state parks and local parks do have pet restrictions.
Can I bring alcohol on camping trips?
As long as you are of age, you can BYOB if the park allows alcohol. However, we ask that you limit your comsumption out of respect for others on the trip and those who don't drink. We want to offer a space place where all guests are comfortable.
How do we get to and from trip sites?
If you are interested in carpooling, we will create a carpool list a week before trips. However, we do not offer transportation to and from trip areas.
What if I have dietary restrictions or other special needs?
Just let us know about your dietary restrictions or other needs when you sign us for the trip, so we can accommodate them to the best of our ability.
What if there is foul weather?
We will continue some activities or trips, if there is a chance of rain. However, we will cancel activities if there is thunder, lightning, or heavy rain. Look out for an email or phone call about an hour before your activity is planned. If you are going on a trip, also look out for an email or phone call. Since the weather changes so quickly, sometimes we can get away with postponing camping by an hour or two and still have great weather the rest of the trip.
What do I need to pack for overnight trips?
We will send out a packing list for overnight trips when we confirm your booking. The list will change based on the location we are going to, how long we are going for, and what time of the year it is.
